I wasn’t too sensitive. The system was too silent.

I’ve experienced bullying from women throughout my personal and professional life.

Not the obvious kind.
The subtle, whispered kind.
The kind that shows up as exclusion, gossip, discrediting, or weaponizing likability.

And the truth is—most corporate HR systems aren’t designed to address it. Because if it happens behind your back, it’s hearsay. And “hurt feelings” don’t hold up in policy reviews or courtrooms.

But it’s real. It isolates people. It erodes confidence. It destroys culture. And it’s still happening all around us every single day.

That’s why I’m so intentional now about the energy I allow around me. It’s not because I think I’m better than anyone. It’s because I’ve seen what happens when you ignore the slow burn of toxicity. And I won’t model that for my kids—or for the people I lead.

My values are clear:

✨ Kindness without performative niceness.
✨ Integrity without silence.
✨ Accountability without shame.
✨ Respect without hierarchy.

If that makes some people uncomfortable, that’s okay. Because we don’t fix broken systems by playing small. We fix them by showing up better than what broke us.

I turned those experiences into my keynote, The New Girls Club—and I’ve been invited to stages and platforms around the world because of it. Not because I’m perfect, but because I lead with honesty, humility, and heart.

That is who I am. I will always be grounded in gratitude.
And the best payback? 💪🏼💪🏼
Is rising above mean girl energy and standing fully in your excellence. My brilliant friend Leslie J. Anderson-Rutland, CTP taught me that. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

At Catalais Consulting Ltd., we help organizations and empower their leaders to build infrastructures rooted in trust, accountability, and psychological safety. We support leadership teams in recognizing, addressing, and repairing the kinds of behaviours that damage culture quietly—but profoundly. Because people don’t leave jobs—they leave environments that make them feel small, unsafe, or unseen.

Let’s lead better. Together.
